Ingredients grits 2 C chicken broth
2 C milk
¼ t salt
1 C grits
1 C grated cheddar cheese (optional)

6 slices thick cut bacon diced
1 small onion thinly sliced
2 t hot sauce
2 lb jumbo shrimp peeled deveined | Preparation grits bring broth and milk to a boil stir in grits and salt, return to boil cover and reduce heat to low cook 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally stir in cheese and keep warm topping cook bacon in skillet til crisp remove bacon and all but 2 T grease add onions and sauté til almost caramelized add shrimp and sauté til pink add bacon, hot sauce, and salt and pepper to taste serve over warm grits |
